My Story
I am a Yogi at heart, not because yoga is my profession but because I fell in love with yoga before it became my profession. Amazed by it's ability to transform and transcend us. A yogic life is how I choose to live by.
Born in the outskirts of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, I first got introduces to yoga from my father who was teaching and practicing yoga as a hobby. The decision to take a training under the guidance of Swami Vishuddhadev in his Ashram on the foothills of Nepal, deepened my interest in Yoga. Young, lean and fit I could achieve a lot of difficult poses and it was fun to practice.
And then it was all lost…
I kept myself busy with my studies and then onto building a career. Fighting to survive and make my place in this ever demanding economic society. Doing more, wanting more to satisfy my desires. Trying to create a happy life in this material world without realizing that I was just running in a never ending circle.
Then I left it all... Jobs, career, friends, families and the country. I left them all behind...
I moved to Germany. There was not much to do other than to learn the language and the culture. I had a lot of time in my hand, started to play different sports at the park with my newfound friends. All these activities sparked my interest towards Yoga again and I started practicing casually.
There it hit me... how my body had changed, stiff, weak, immobile and uncoordinated. The poses and stretches that I could easily do, were now not at all possible. I was astonished yet intrigued to realize how a human body can change and adapt itself according to our current lifestyle.
There and then I decided to make a change. Started regular yoga practice, went from one studio to another, taking part in multiple classes in a day at times. Nothing could beat my motivation and in this process of getting back in yoga, I fell in love with it again.
The classes were just not enough, it was just not satisfying my desire to explore deeper. I needed more training. The more I learnt the more I wanted to. I completed one teacher training after another, exploring different directions in yoga.
This process of learning and practicing changed me completely, physically and mentally. The body felt younger, lighter, easier and faster. The mind on the other hand, started to be mature, rational, calm, focused and relaxed. My lifestyle changed, my way of thinking changed. What was then important, started to take a back seat. What I always took for granted, became my priorities and it is this change in me, that inspires me to guide and help others to achieve the change they desire.
Since 2013 I have been living in Vienna, teaching and practicing yoga and conducting yoga teacher training.
My classes reflect my personal experiences and the experience that I have collected from my students.
I categorize and level my classes considering the experience and general health condition.
I plan my classes in such a way that people get a new program every week and it covers all the aspects of yoga.
